Our articles draw on peer-reviewed veterinary and ethology research, guidance from veterinary associations and animal welfare organizations, published books by recognized trainers and behaviorists, and, where relevant, direct interviews with veterinarians, breeders, or rescue staff. When we describe personal experiences with animals, we identify them clearly as anecdotal rather than clinical guidance.

Review process

Before publication, articles are checked for factual consistency against current veterinary and welfare guidance, and content involving health, medication, or safety topics receives an additional review pass focused on accuracy and clarity. We update older articles when new research, product recalls, or regulatory changes make revisions necessary.

Corrections

If a factual error is identified in a published article, we correct it as soon as possible and note the date of any substantial revision at the bottom of the piece. Readers who spot an inaccuracy are encouraged to contact us through the details on our Contact page so we can review and address it promptly.

Advertising and independence

Any sponsored post, paid review, or affiliate partnership is disclosed clearly at the start of the relevant article, and sponsorship never determines whether we recommend a product, service, or practice.
